Retreat for Girls

Retreat for girls is an awesome program we happened to find that is sort of like EFY but just for girls ages 12-15.  This was Tori's first year to go and Baylee's 2nd.  It is such an amazing program.  And I saw tons of changes especially in Tori after this week.  She has been so committed to reading her scriptures since she has been home.  I am so grateful for opportunities like this my daughters have had to feel the spirit and increase their testimony.

EFY

I have always wanted my kids to get to go to EFY because it was such a great experience for me.  Baylee had the opportunity this summer to go for her first time.  She absolutely loved it! I really hope I can get her to blog about it so she can share her feelings, but I know she came home even stronger and more committed to the gospel that she was before.  She went by herself, but made some great friends really quickly. Also in her group was a boy that she knew from here but he had moved to Mesa AZ.  I think they spent a lot of time together that week!

She was at EFY over the 4th of July so they got to go watch the fireworks for Stadium of Fire which I thought was pretty cool!

Girls Camp 2012

June 16- 21st was girls camp.  What an amazing time we had!  It was so fun to be at camp with both my girls and Travis came as the camp dad.  We went to Big Rock Candy mountain and did some amazing things.  We went river rafting, repelling, zip lining, went to Manti and did baptisms for the dead and did some service work.  Our young women are amazing and I was so blessed to get to serve with them for a little while!

My beautiful friend Jill with her two daughters at the temple.
We served together in Beehives.

Most of the leaders at camp.  It definitely took an army to take care of that many girls!

My incredibly talented friend JaCoy was the craft specialist at camp.  And boy did she do some amazing things!
Skye, the best camp director ever!

Our sweet bishop came up and spent some time with the girls as well.

JaCoy's husband Ben came up for a few days as well.  He was helping the girls through a pretty tight spot on our hike.

My best friend Nan in her sexy hat :)
Even the camp dad got involved in the skits!

Baseball champions

Kade's little league team played for the championship on June 1st.  I had missed so many things that week being in Salina that I really didn't want to miss one more!  So my mom let me take her car and I cam home to see Kade play.  I am so glad I did too!  It was a tough game but Kade and his team pulled if off and won!  I am so proud of him for how hard he works and how hard he tries.

End of Year awards assemblies

Because I stayed in Salina to help my mom with my grandparents home I missed the girls end of year awards assemblies.  But their awesome dad was their to support them :)

We have to most amazing middle school principal!  I just love Dr. Lea.

This is Tori with her friend Olivia.  Twin day just happened to be the same day as awards.

Baylee looking all grown up and ready to leave middle school!

This is Bay with some of her cute friends.  Love these girls!

Grandpa Allen's Funeral

My Grandpa Allen passed away on May 22, 2012 he was 92 years old.  So we headed to Salina for a funeral.

Every one of my  brothers and my sister made it to Salina for the funeral.  Plus all my amazing cousins were there.  It was really fun to get to spend time with them!

My mom, Jay, and I stayed to clean out Grandma and Grandpa's house.  They had lived in that house for about 70 years so it was ALOT of work.  We had lots of fun, worked hard and found some serious treasures lol.

Like this beauty.  We have no idea what it once was!

Eclipse

The day we got back from San Francisco happened to be the Ring of Fire solar eclipse.  So we called the kids and had them hurry and pack a couple of things and we picked them up as soon as we got home and headed to Kanarraville where JaCoy's sister lives and where happened to be the best viewing spot in the United States for this eclipse.

We couldn't believe all the people!  There was news crews from all over the world in little ole' Kanarraville Utah!

At JaCoy's sister's house they had this cute little pond and Cole loved fishing!

San Francisco

To celebrate our 15th anniversary, Travis's birthday, and Ben coming home from Afghanistan we took a weekend trip to San Francisco.  We had so much fun and are blessed to have such great friends.

Of course Travis had to work while we were there.

Ben was rockin out to one of the street performers.

Our sweet tandem bikes we rented and rode across the Golden Gate on.
